Andrea Thompson
Andrea Thompson is the founder of Project laMB and the daughter of Mary Beckwith, the inspiration behind laMB.
Andrea loves Jesus with all her heart, and has always had a heart for giving, loving on, and being around people. It wasn’t until she was faced with her mother’s illness that she listened to God’s true calling for her life. Before her mother was sick she was living in Los Angeles, California as an aspiring actress. (She really walked dogs for a living). It was her mother’s illness that brought her back home, and helped her begin to listen to the voice of God like she had never heard before.
Then one day as Andrea read Isaiah 41: 8-11 which says,
“But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend, I have called you back from the ends of the earth, so that you can serve me. For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

It was at that moment she knew she was called to missions.
She became a full-time caregiver to her mother until Mary’s passing. Knowing that God had called her to missions, Andrea began to pray about how to pursue God’s calling for her life. Is it funny how God can use a small thing to do big things. It was the little Jesus lamb that inspired Andrea to reach out to a family at Christmas, giving gifts, food, and a lamb with Mary’s story on it. Thus Project laMB was born.
Andrea is an actress, a people lover, traveler, and now a non-profit founder. She currently resides in Rapid City, South Dakota.
